Jaqie Fox
there is a chance however slim that it is hanging when trying to save the file to disk or complete the save. Have you defragmented and skandisked (chkdsk for NTFS) lately?
bledd
you virus checker might be checking it if you're running one, or windows defender might be checking it..i get a pause like this with large cab files and exe's when downloading..-edit, disable av or just wait for it to finish (once its checked the file it'll copy it to your download location) when its at 99% its in temp files, then 100% is when it's been copied to your download location (desktop etc) Edited December 8, 2006 by bledd
jcarle
As bledd mentioned, Virus Scanner, Anti-Spyware or other similar program "could" be causing the hang. A second thing to check also, perhaps your Internet Explorer cache is corrupt.
cluberti
Check the following registry values to make sure they're BOTH set to 1:Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\AttachmentsValue: ScanWithAntiVirusData: 1Key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\AttachmentsValue: ScanWithAntiVirusData: 1If either are set to 2, this can happen...
