Software Reviews, Comparisons & Tests

Does anyone know whether there is any good software review sites which will try to do the following:

- compare among different software (eg make a feature table, so I can see the similarities & differences easily)

- perform tests and publish the results (eg test how good different defraggers defrag a computer)

Thank you.

Aside from sites like SoftPedia and FileHippo giving you the main key points about dozens of programs, I've yet to find a site where people take the severely time-consuming task of taking all known programs of a particular purpose and compare them almost down to the code itself ( ) with all pros and cons unbiased.

I'm slowly doing this for Anti-Virus software and then moving onto System Clean-Up tools.

With work, fiancee and gaming (pretty much all I do besides simply sitting on my a** doing nothing), I usually get rather bored of bouncing from program to program in VMware...

Something like this is okay:

http://spywarewarrior.com/asw-features.htm

It has a table which compares features of different products.

At least I would like to see some info (no need to be perfect) like this. Sure the info can't be specifically made which is seriously in favour of one product (like the comparison list in the author website). Some degree of bias are acceptable.

I did the same thing too for myself.

I tried different products and made a comparison table.

It is surprised why no software review magazine will at least try to do something like this.

They only put up some subjective/personal reviews most of the time. I prefer something factual, and I will take of the parts that subjectivity is required (eg the interface)
