Disabling Blur in Vista RC2

I've run so many darned builds I've forgotten what is what. So, I post RTM - if you're running a previous version, I'm bound to not know what you're looking at. Glat to have someone point out one of the few things that didn't change over the builds :).

He probably means that horrible ClearType effect.

Take a screenshot of any Vista window and zoom in on the text, its

silly, it looks like you should be wearing 3D glasses to look at it...

Microsoft dropped the ball with this I think.

Why do they insist on fixing something that is not broken?!

That text was taken from one of the setup screens, if you can "disable"

the fuzzy text on the setup screens, let me know how you did it.

Maybe its the fact that the 'transparency' for the title bars is not truely transparent but instead seem to 'blur' instead of allowing a real see thru look. If thats it then the answer is - unless you hack some files, or download one of the utilities on the internet for transparent windows, you can't.

You might also be referring to the 'glare' that is added to the transparent windows.

I show how to remove this effect in this following topic:

Note that the background is still blurred by the foreground window, however I know there is a vista tweak tool that claims it lets you disable or adjust the blur, whatever that means.

Thanks, Mr. Spooky (or Ms. Spooky). Yes, I mean the blurring of the titlebar, where it is tanslucent and not transparent (look them up). No, I do not mean cleartype. Also, you said "unless you hack some files". Is there any way to do it?
