I just looked under both Q828028 and KB835732 (Q835732), but both say "Security Update Replacement: None".

willpantin
AaronXP,You are right. Seems my browser did not refresh from previous visit. At least that's the only explanation I can think off...! Thanks!
Aaron
I think MS are quietly editing the bulletins. All 4 of the bulletins were yanked off for about an hour earlier this evening
redsfotografie
Hi,First thanks for the page, but I am missing the blaster updates?I had WINXP installed with servicepack 1 and the blaster updates but when I connected to the I-net to download updates I got a lot of chashes that explorer had to be restarted and then after 20 min svchost ..... (looks like blaster virus) and my pc shut down and couldn't start WINXP after that. Uninstalled formatted several times but everytime I got the same problem after connecting with the I-net. Now I work without a problem for weeks but never connected to the I-net.I like to know if you know this problem. I like to download the updates with 98 (dualboot) but I have no clue what updates I need to install on XP... I mean what is Type I and Type 2 hotfixes? I don't use the mediaplayer and have Direktx 8.1A(don't want 9). IE 6 servicepack-1 I tried to install the rollup-update but it keeps on telling it can't find files while I can see they're in the right folder where setup is trying to find them. Is there something I have to install first or put the files on a special location?Well I know it's a lot but I hope you can clear things up for me.Thanks,JR
Aaron
The Update Rollup 1 covers the blaster exploit. Type 1 and 2 is differentiated because of the different switches between the two. The switches are mentioned in the list.I like to download the updates with 98 (dualboot) but I have no clue what updates I need to install on XP...Everything you need is on the list. Check carefully and you can see the WMP8 and DX8 updates.I tried to install the rollup-update but it keeps on telling it can't find files while I can see they're in the right folder where setup is trying to find them. Is there something I have to install first or put the files on a special location?Redownload the hotfix, it may be corrupted. Making heavy modifications to your CD, such as editing/removing files in the I386 directory can also make an impact on how the Update Rollup can be verified as installed or not. redsfotografie
THANKS,So install all the updates from the list....... forget abpout the earlier updates.....I downloaded the rollup 3 times now but no luck. It's weird because it unpacks to a folder and I can see the files it looks for but it doesn't "accept" them...What I do now is start at the topof your list installing the updates till I get to the rollup and try again.I will let you know how it worked...Thanks,JohanOne Q more... what I wrote about the problems after connecting to the I-net do yo have any idea? killerbee
hi,a new hotfix is available KB832353 it's an update for 828026. MS has the following to say about it:After applying the hotfix referenced in KB article 828026, some URL script commands do not fire even though they would be expected to do so. In addition to the URL script command issues, this package addresses an issue with the installer that would cause 100% CPU utilization in certain scenarios.it looks like a Type 1 Hotfixhave phun with itcyaKiller Bee
