If all present registry entries are ok (eventually check), please publish this update in my language with iexpress.
I'd like to, but your INF file is in binary, and is 123 KB in size.

Please save it again as plain text [ASCII] and attach it here when ready.

Thanks.

BTW:

An INF file should be under 64 KB, otherwise Windows may have problems reading it. :(

Max_04:

Actually I have rebooted into WinXP and saved your INF as ANSI in Notepad [plain text].

I have also "trimmed" it a little, and also translated the installer dialogs.

Download IT928388.EXE [66 KB]:

Complete details here:

I've corrected translated installer dialogs with restorator, see attachment and update it:

I actually remembered Petr uploaded advpack.dll, iexpress.exe + wextract.exe in Italian, so I rebuilt the executable using those files:

Here it is:

Hope you like it better this way.

Is there any way I can automate this patch to use on our network through active directory?

I would like to silently install it to my systems without having to go to each desk.

If you mean the Win95/98/ME fixes:

Q929120.EXE [English] + IT929120.EXE [italian],

the answer is yes.

These are the unattended switches for all patches/(hot)fixes created using iexpress 6.xx [example]:

Qxxxxxx.EXE /Q:C /R:N

More info @ MS TechNet [look under "Using Command-Line Switches "]:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...7/z03ie6rk.mspx

and @ MSKB article Q197147:

New February 2007 cumulative update posted:

http://www.mdgx.com/add.htm#TZU

and linked here:

http://www.msfn.org/board/?showtopic=46581

Changed only Qxxxxxx [MSKB] number to reflect new cumulative update:

* Unofficial Windows 98/98 SP1/98 SE/ME 2007 U.S.A. + Western Australian (Perth) Daylight Saving Time (DST) Cumulative Time Zone Update:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=931836

- Unofficial DST Update for Windows 98/98 SP1/98 SE/ME [68 KB, English]:

http://www.mdgx.com/files/Q931836.EXE

- Unofficial DST Update for Windows 98/98 SP1/98 SE/ME [70 KB, Italian]:

http://www.mdgx.com/files/IT931836.EXE

ALL Unofficial DST Updates install BOTH Time Zone Updates above and also delete obsolete 2006 Australian (Melbourne Commonwealth Games) DST registry entries (if any):

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=909915

Windows 98, 98 SP1 + 98 SE require ALL Year 2000 (Y2K) Updates + Q237493 TIMEDATE.CPL Fixes already installed:

http://www.mdgx.com/web.htm

ALL these DST Updates MUST be installed by ALL Windows users REGARDLESS of geographical or Time Zone location!

@MDGx: There were some new changes included in the latest update. Did you also include them?

the_guy

I haven't had much time, but at 1st glance I haven't noticed changes.

Which are the changes?

Thanks.
