DigeratiPrime
Learned about this at Lifehacker, I used to use CompactMenu but that is no longer compatible with Firefox 2.0, and I was using a couple CSS tweaks until I saw this! Personal Menu - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3895/Feel tired of the conservative menus, and have tried manyextensions to make them look more compact and personal? With the Personal Menu, you can hide the menus in MenusToolbar (even the Menus Toolbar), and design your own menu withjust few settings. It also offers a History Button and a Bookmarks Button. You canset how many hitory items show in the menu, and what willhappen when you middle/right click the buttons. There is also a similiar and smaller extension with less features:Tiny Menu - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1455/

DigeratiPrime
also for those looking to get rid of the status bar I recommend the Fission extensionhttps://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1951/it will integrate the progress bar into the address bar and also has an option to display "active link/mouse-over link in address bar"
