jftuga Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Does anyone know what the latest ETA for SP3 is? I know it can change, but I am just interested in knowing a very general time frame.Thanks,-John

jftuga Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 Thanks. First half of '08 seems like a long ways off.-John
sylvianorth Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 The way things are going you'll be lucky to see it at all. I have no doubt that the release of SP3 will be the last bit of support for xp.
cluberti Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Well, we shall see. With Vista being RTM'ed, it is likely that XP will hit extended support shortly after SP3, making it possibly the last SP for XP.
2forza Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 offtopic: I think, sp3 will contain:wmp 11ie7.net framework 3winfslots of updates
Ctrl-X Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I wouldn't be surprised if SP3 turns out to be nothing more than a security update rollup, just like they did with Windows 2000.
