ETA of SP3?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the latest ETA for SP3 is? I know it can change, but I am just interested in knowing a very general time frame.

Thanks,

Thanks. First half of '08 seems like a long ways off.

The way things are going you'll be lucky to see it at all. I have no doubt that the release of SP3 will be the last bit of support for xp.

Well, we shall see. With Vista being RTM'ed, it is likely that XP will hit extended support shortly after SP3, making it possibly the last SP for XP.

offtopic: I think, sp3 will contain:

wmp 11

ie7

.net framework 3

winfs

lots of updates

I wouldn't be surprised if SP3 turns out to be nothing more than a security update rollup, just like they did with Windows 2000.

This would be fine with me. However, I would assume that IE7 would be apart of the rollup.
