supercedes the patch http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823980 which you can remove from your patch lists and add the new one.

thanks for the find I'm adding it now to my service pack slipstream to see what it does.

after slipstreaming it, it seems you need to apply the autologon stuff...

Yes, the patch works. It replaces the older patch because they update the same files.

P.S. Make sure that you download the german patch version for german XP.
