Kie
Does nLite support:-adding DirectX 9.0c into Windows 2000-adding Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 into Windows 2000I attempted to include both items and both attempts failed.Cheers,Kie
hoosierpeschke
I've installed them via an addon pack but not integrated via the hotfix option. There's a sticky for creating a 7-zip addon pack and creating the cab file. For IE6, the silent option is "ie6setup.exe /Q".For DirectX, I downloaded the full redistributable and the silent option is "dxsetup.exe /silent".Granted this isn't as space saving as a direct integration but it works just as well. IE6 is about 12 MB and installs from SVCPACK. DX9 is about 45 megs (october 2006 update) and installs from RUNONCE. I've only removed the 64-bit files from DX9 so thats about as slim as I could make it. If anyone can suggest some more files I could remove that would be very welcome

johndoe74
well i did try it out after reading that post and OMG, its superb!!! No addons required, no nothing, IE6 and DX9 totally slipstreamed. Like the site says, it does need a bit of an attention span but the rewards are truly awesome! The one caveat is NLiting the whole thing might be a little bit tricky/troublesome! Edited October 26, 2006 by johndoe74

I was under the impression they are the same.Is there a stripped down dx9 to add similar to the one hfslip uses?

LeveL
I also integrated IE6 and DirectX 9c a while ago using the HFSLIPguide, it works perfectly but can you use nLite on that afterwards?I vaguely remember it doesn't like nLite, or nLite doesn't like it,depending on which side your bread is buttered. All I want to do to it really is re-compress the cab files andremove a few languages here and there, hmmm, guess I will just have to try it out. Camarade_Tux
Goto "nLite and HFSLIP" on this page.It gives you a list of files not to remove with both WMP and DX things, there's a ";wm codec stuff" between them but it's not so easy to find it. And I've been using nLite with HFSLIP without any problem for months.Just keep this in mind:1-HFSLIP and updaters2-nLite3-BTS's DriverPacks4-anything you want
