That's bugging me also..I think that can't be done.. :(

If you click your links or favorites shortcuts with the middle mouse button it opens in a new tab.

No, it does not. If you click on the Favorites from the Menu Bar and click on the any link from the link with the middle mouse button, it won't work..

well i am sorry that the middle mouse button doesnt work for you it works fine on all my links and favorites, where it is in the favorites folder, links bar, or desktop.
