LLXX Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 In this particular case, a message was sentfrom this account and "verified" through the X-Originating-IP which isincluded in every mail sent from a valid Hotmail account.X-Originating-IP is very easy to fake... that's no means of verification.I think what happened was someone hacked your account's password and then used it for spamming.Accounts are deleted, not "closed".Anyway I'd just create a new one, these accounts are free anyway and M$ can close/delete them at any time they want.
Nedson Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 Thanks LLXX. I think I'll give Hotmail a miss this time and try another email providerRegards/N
