From http://www.silentpcreview.com/article601-page1.html you can see that it's actually composed of a laptop-style switchmode PSU and a small adapter with some voltage regulators on it.Even so, those voltage regulators on the ATX connector do not look like they can handle anywhere near 60 watts. I'd consider 10 watts to be optimistic, and 5 watts seems to be more realistic judging by the size of the components.My advice would be to keep as much airflow as you can around it.

LLXX Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 (edited) http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/117/int...gulator2en9.jpgMine are similar, though the heatsinks are smaller than that.Even if they didn't have a heatsink, the heat gets conducted away by the large amounts of solder and metal on the mobo itself, and don't forget the CPU fan airflow blows past that area with the voltage regulators as well.In contrast, the ATX connector is usually in a very cramped portion of the mobo and doesn't recieve much ventilation.
