I need advice on the type of software i might use to transfer a large amount of single track records to the PC.I also need hardware advice, but will post in the Hardware section. LLXX Posted October 9, 2006 Share Posted October 9, 2006 Windows comes with a sound recorder that will work perfectly fine for this purpose.If you want a more powerful audio editor/recorder look at Audacity (free,open-source): http://audacity.sourceforge.net/What you should be more concerned about is the hardware, you'll likely need an amplifier since a turntable's output may not be powerful enough to be directly connected to the PC audio input.
