cumminbk
Just wondering if anybody knows or has any ideas on whether SP3 will have WGA built into it.EDIT: meaning that only genuine copies of windows can install sp3 Edited September 13, 2006 by cumminbk
bledd
i'd imagine so, xp's so cheap now there's no excuse to not have a legal copy
LLXX
Even if it does it'll be cracked just like WGA has been.SP2 already had such a check, if I remember correctly...

cumminbk
but i guess you can overcome any of this by just slipstreaming sp3 into a pirate copy of xp...
gamehead200
Just wondering if anybody knows or has any ideas on whether SP3 will have WGA built into it.EDIT: meaning that only genuine copies of windows can install sp3I will laugh if Microsoft overlooks this... Which I doubt...Nevertheless, I have a valid key, so I don't have anything to worry about!
Thunderbolt 2864
I have a valid key, but what really bothers me that Microsoft decided to put in a script that "phones home" when you boot into XP.I hope they don't put WGA into SP3, but I bet they will. nitroshift
From my understandings, SP3 will be a sum of all updates to the date of release. Since I am up to date with windows update, why bother installing SP3? Of course, it has some other rewritten files too, isn't it?
