Well, did you purchase XP, or did you install a pirated version? If the former, then try out Microsoft's diagnostics tool for WGA notification problems: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/

Otherwise, BUY A COPY OF WINDOWS. There's no LEGAL way around it.

What your download did was to load the latest WGA files that link to a Microsoft database of Corp #'s that have "escaped" to the wild, yours is on of them.

The activation works when you installed, all the Corp versions do. However, they fail the WGA check.

As one of the answers above said, buy a legal copy.

Microsoft will sell you a key # on-line for $149.00, cheaper to buy one on the Internet.

im sure someone has a patch of some kind they can share. no its not genuine, cant afford to pay retail, pirate all the way

I would stop looking here for answers to your problem, there won't be many.

by passing WGA is illegal, don't bring msfn down by discussing how to remove it. just buy a copy of XP home upgrade or something.
