Ok big trouble!

I booted from my dvd and all was well till I put in my key and got "Cant open or find Install.wim"

Error Code 0X80070570

I guess maybe I'll DL and burn with XP FFS I didnt want the XP online but no choice now I guess.

This is not a bogus phishing scam. I was a little leary, so I created a new Windows Live account on an email I never use. Sure enough, you do get a key. I actually submitted Afghanistan as a second choice and it gave me another key. After that, it wouldn't give me anymore. I installed and activated Vista last night just fine. No SLI in Vista yet, so I'm glad I put it on my spare drive.

Well i found out why they ran out of keys

I am a Technet Plus subscriber and have received through the mail 3 different keys, plus another 5 in various email addresses.

I can obviously only use one at a time, so why the overkill, they already know as soon as is released i will be buying yet another installment of the money drain that is Windows, which will be my 9th key for Vista.

Makes you wonder sometimes what they are up to

Lol, they're just not generating them for you, because it's impossible to run out with somewhere around 10^25 valid keys (same with earlier OSs). That's 10^16 valid keys for each person on this planet!

What in the heaven's sake?! Did you (to whoever concluded that I linked to illegal material) even go and try the method present in the blog I linked? It's a 100% genuine thing and you aren't going to download any cracks or sh*t. You will simply be going to two Microsoft sites. Good God! Please test before you dimiss something as objectionable.

Indeed, you're obtaining the key directly from M$.

Moderators should be a little more careful... they tend to be a bit sensitive with regards to such matter.
