So, if it’s the BIOS, and you flashed it with the latest one and it doesn’t work than how are you going to fix that problem with the BIOS (only thing I could think of, is another mobo)? What part do you have warranty on any way? Motherboard and VGA card?

i haven't flashed the bios yet, i get the ram back monday from newegg. until then i have to manage to burn the bootable cd properly from a 266 laptop with a usb cd-rom burner, and a demo copy of nero that almost didnt install properly. do you know if cd-rw's are bootable?

Yes CD-RW are bootable, let´s wait till next week .

i have a question. if a computer is to continually reboot itself on windows load, will the cmos clear itself, eventually?

No, that you have to do most of the time with a jumper on the motherboard.

ah i can't explain the sometimes no display, but power on. i doubt its the fan controller setting.

Well, I also think it has anything to do with that...
