Am I too late for RC1?

RC1 became available on monday, so you better hurry i would bet it will be done soon, at this moment in time (as of this writitng) there no beta keys available from MS, this should be rectified sometime later tonight or tommorow,

I wonder if it allows 10 activations per build number?

I thought of that too, or maybe it means 'activations' in the sense of each activation being one computer, and each subsequent activation for that computer being not counted.

I also tend to think that's the answer, as my key has only been used on about seven different machines at work and here at home.
