Because of system file protection, you can't simply overwrite these files.

If you want to integrate them, do this:

In command prompt, compress the file using makecab. Then in your ISO, replace original calc.ex_ with your compressed calc.ex_.

The syntax is makecab calc.exe calc.ex_

Do this for all your files and overwrite your existing setup files with these new ones.

I haven't had a problem doing this...

Someone else might offer you one more step to using modifype.... search on that.

Note that if these files were updated by any means (such as windows update, etc), then you are running the risk of copying back obsolete files.

Well Thnx for The Reply

but..as i said above i am integrating

Vista Brico PAck Addon

SO even if i do the method u told above all (nearly all) the modified files (by me) will be replaced by the modified files of The Brico Pack Addon

So the above method will not work

And yeah i have even tried that method (Thats why i know it will not work :-P )

replacing shell32.dll worked for me but when i switch user all icons are back to normal for that user , very wierd problem

Manually: You can just change screen resolution then set it back even without pressing OK. Pressing "Apply" is quite enough.

You do that for each user only once!

Unattendedly: Look for a utility called reico.exe (19.5 kb) and apply it with the switch -closer

Also, you can run it manually.

what i mean is the icons (vista) are now back to original windows icons

only the first users has the vista icons

Yes, I understand you. Just try what I said and you'll be good.

Can you be specific about which icons? Are you talking about the toolbar icons, or the regular program icons (for shortcuts, etc.).

Shell32.dll applies to the system and is not on a per user basis. Make sure your OS didn't restore the original file (check the size). If it's the modified file, then all users should have the same icons, without having to refresh the system.
