Bad/Missing DLL file

Can anyone figure out what happened here and what I can do to fix it?

that is an issue with DirectX 9. reinstalling DirectX 9 could solve the problem. here are a few links.

i personally like the first link because it's faster, but if you have a slow internet connection, it sucks. if you do have a slow internet connection, then probably the second link is better.

The first link is just to download a 'web installer' which then downloads everything else, the second *is* the 'everything else'.

the first one is better because the second one leaves the installer files on your comp(which you don't need after installation)

Is it necessary to debate over which is better?

At the end of the day you still need to d/l all the necessary files. Of course it'd be quicker to d/l the web installer than the full admin install at the outset but then you'd need to use the web installer to d/l the rest later. And it's just as easy to delete the install files afterwards.
