PowerColor Radeon 9800 Pro 128ddr 256Bit

I got a Radeon 9800 Pro my friend gave it to me but...

It has a problem it't overheating and im not talking about hot GPU im talking about Scorchy Gpu....

And yes i have very good cooler+fan i replaced original one...

The card works but only for about 10-20 min that computer shutsdown because of too much heating..

Any ideas ?

well how hot is it? try reseating the video card fan, maybe you put too much thermal paste on...

It's very very hot ! (is there any software that would display temperature?)

I will try to reinstall cooler + thermal paste.

What about if i would firmware the BIOS ?

I was looking in google but i didn't found a Powercolor RAdeon9800 pro bios upgrade!

Any Ideas ?

I think it's something wrong with the card !

I will try to find out since i got it for free!

Make sure there is sufficient airflow *to* the fan, not just the fan itself.

If the case cooling is bad, the components inside will just keep using the same recirculated air and heat up more.
