Here is the vista beta 2 theme for windows xp.

How to install:

Step 1: Download the file and winrar.

Step 2: Open vista beta 2 theme.exe and extract it to C:\WINDOWS

Step 3: Right click your desktop click properties then click the themes tab and find vista beta 2 and click apply.

Step 4: enjoy your new desktop.

I downloaded and extracted per your instructions but it definately doesn't look like your theme. I get the background but not colors etc. What could possibly be wrong? Great theme from what I can see in your screenshot though

heres a good vista theme. if you want the wallpapers let me know and i can send em to you. that was the one thing i liked about vista. the wallpapers are beautiful.

make sure to exract this rar file to "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\"

to answer your question, you could have the files in the wrong place, check and make sure that all the files are in the above directory for the original theme posted here.

the theme i linked to is an MSSTYLES theme. you just extract it to "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\" and away you go, provided you have the UXtheme patched.

as far as i know, you can double click on the .msstyle file and itll open in display properties under appearance.
