lennierv Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Does anyone have the problem where the tweaks that are checked in nlite don't take effect?I placed some visual tweaks like "shadow under menus" etc. and they don't seem to take effect.Any ideas?
Kiki Burgh Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 hi!i actually noticed the same when setting shadow of icon labels to dsiabled ... shadows still show.not a biggie though
Camarade_Tux Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Some tweaks do not work, especially visual tweaks.I have some reg tweaks to import at T-12/T-13 for visual tweaks. I can't post them right now. Search the forum, they are somewhere.
lennierv Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 So I guess the best way to get full-proofed tweaks is to run your own tweaks in a .reg file right?Ok.. thanks for your info. guys....Appreciate the help.. IF anybody has the time, can u post me a list of the registry tweaks..Much thanks
Kiki Burgh Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 hi Tux!would be quite a labor to search for that ... wish you could post it so i can look a that & try it out ... he! he!@ lennierv, you may want to use this to create your .reg file: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=49320
Camarade_Tux Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 (edited) Not necessarilly that hard.Ok, in fact, it is. lennierv Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 After my nlite WinXp is finished with its installation .... A menu comes in saying customizing Internet, Outlook and Themes....And then my desktop icons come with the blue background.. ( Without the Drop Shadows)This is what I normally integrate with Nlite: (ADDONS)*Boooggy_WMP11Addon*firefox_1.5.0.5*ProgramAddonsThunderbird*RogueSpearAddons7-Zip_4.42*RogueSpearAddonsAdobeReader_7.0.8*RogueSpearAddonsCrapCleaner_1.31.325*RogueSpearAddonsDotNET11SP120-VJ1120And I integrate these with RVM Integrator: (ADDONS)*[savefile]060718164734_RVM210_MRT_RemoveAddon*ADDON_Vista_Sounds*KELS_OSX4XP_addon_V1*Kels_True_Royale_Addon_*MrsP_Absolutist_Flash_Games_Addon_v1.0.1*MrsP_FreeWare_Games_Addon_v1.1.1*MrsP_MozBackup_Addon_v1.4.4*Multi_Siginet_MultiTheme-AddonsPack_1.7*NR_CGlassCursors_Addon_v1.0*Themes_Siginet_CrystalXP_dlb2_Addons_v1.2Are any of these addons causing the Drop Shadow visual effect to be turned off?On top to make sure the Drop shadow is on.. I activate a Visual Effects.reg file but it does no differenceAnyone experienced this before?
Kiki Burgh Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 hi lennierv! mine too actually ... but please refer to this thread Visual Effects still not working?, Is it just me? for some clarifications ... hiope it helps!
jamesagmoore Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Try setting the wallpaper as a BMP image (not jpg or any other format), and checking if the drop shadows come back
lennierv Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 I've had this problem ever since I started using RyanVm Update Pack 2.1.0The drop shadows are not enabled altought i have a reg tweak that enables it..Obviously the updatepack is causing some settings to be changed...Anybody had this problem yet.. Is there a way to fix it??
Kelsenellenelvian Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 The nLite section is NOT a place for RyanVM issues! Their is a forum just for that...
RyanVM Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 uh, WFMAnd surely you followed the directions here before assuming it was my pack's fault, right?
lennierv Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 Deepest APOLOGY Ryan.....Wasn't your update pack... Its something I removed from my xp cd with nlite..But I still don't know what it is!
nuhi Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Not removed, tweaked.Try to reset the visual settings through the Control panel - system - advanced - performance settings
