SP1/SP2

Well I reformatted and reinstalled my WinXP (older version with no SP-anything, lol). For some reason Windows Update site won't do anything except freeze IE everytime its accessed. I've downloaded the .exe's of SP1 and SP2 and both of those hang forever on the 'inspecting your current configuration' part which is the beginning. I need to get fully updated again and I don't know how to work this out. Please help!

this is probably a bad suggestion, but you could use nLite to create and ISO with SP2 inside it. i haven't tried it but theoretically it should work.

You can use firefox now to update windows @microsoft update

You can pickup a sp2 media of a guy and install it with your cd key license.

download SP2. Link : http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6...935-SP2-ENU.exe

Size : 266MB

Then download end, you can update SP1 to SP2.

M$ Update can't use Firefox... only IE. Mebbe u meant windiz update?
