new JRE6 Update 1 Installer works fine but I am still not able to use with my proxy.

All network parameters tried.

Many Java applications are working but some not. (see attached picture of sun java test page)

I realize running tests from Sun will produce these results. In the real world, and in my testing, Java functions properly and does what i need it ti do.

If this installer is not meeting your needs, go over the the ryanvm forums where Kel has released a full installer with nothing removed.

EDIT: I updated this release 24hrs after the initial posting. Check the MD5 to be sure.

In the initial release I forgot to turn off both the auto update and the tray icon.

(did i mention i was getting old?) sorry to those affected.

i was just about to post...

thanks for fixing it :)

why keep jre61_x86\Common\Java\Update\Base Images? is that necessary for installation? after installation I have erased the folder every single time, and have not noticed any difference. Am I missing something?

Pardon me to ask this, but why have the Java links disappeared from both of your sites???

One user reported issues with it not installing the plugins properly for Mozilla browsers. I have not had time to test the scenario, so i took the URL down.

There are a few alternate releases available over on RyanVM's board.
