axbuddy Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 (edited) I searched for a long time on this forum and I did not find anything about winlogon.exe replacement. I have replaced the default winlogon.ex_ file in the I386 folder by mine but when I install windows I have an error saying that the file is not the good one. I can ignore and then the installation is fine but I would like to avoid to get this error. How can I do to keep windows from checking the file ?Thanks for your help in advance. Camarade_Tux Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Simply SFC. Disable it in nlite if you don't really want it.
bledd Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 google for "jcarle compression bin"put modifype into your system32 directory and drag your uncompressed winlogon.exe into compression bin and it'll modifype it and cab it for you, so won't wont bring up an error
jmbattle Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 May I ask which modifications you have made to your winlogon.exe ?Cheers,Jamesx
RyanVM Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I'm guessing ones that aren't allowed to be discussed on these forums
