cumminbk Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 (edited) just a quick question. is it a good idea to buy a video card that has already been overclocked by the maker. If it has already been overclocked can it be overclocked further yourself? what are your thoughts on this. 2nd questionwhen looking at video card specs it sayscore clock ---- (gives a number) then it says (standard clock)memory clock ---(gives a number) then it says (standard clock)it gives a number for the standard clock. so if it has a high core clock but a much lower standard clock is that a card to stay away from?EDIT* is the standard what the clock is before it has been overclocked? Shindo_Hikaru Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I would only by EVGA overclocked cards as their warrenty covers it and also covers end-user overclocks to already overclocked card.

ripken204 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 definetly, especially with a 30$ rebate right nowhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130283or if you're in a good mood and want to spend another 100$http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130032
