max0071 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I am presently using gator as my password manager. I think its excellent, however they are shutting down.So my question is................what, in everyones opinion is as simple and / or as good as gator for a password manager?????????Thanks
CptMurphy Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 To be honest, I don't think that many people here would use a password manager. Simply because it's too risky to use it. However, I use a notepad'ish program called LockNote which uses either 128 or 256-bit encryption. I forget which. On that proggy, I keep accounts and passwords. I have that program on a USB drive that I keep safe which I also have password locked and encrypted. Im just paranoid tho so.....
Ash_s Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I don't use a password manager, all I use is a small text file and firefox password manager to quickly log in sites.
XP_2600 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 because it's too risky to use it.I agree, dont add all the eggs in one basket.
JohnSteven Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I use Access Manager. You can try out the free version without any expiration, although the Pro version has some nice features. Requires dot net and runs as a stand-alone application from a USB key.
