Guys,

Is ResChange.exe trustworthy? What I mean is I am concerned that it might try and contact the internet or run something on my PC without me knowing. I am using WPI in a corporate environment and security is a priority.

If I removed reschange.exe from WPI\Tools, would I get errors if I just set WPI to use system default settings?

i could not work out how to use it

its still there but i the setting set to " system def"

and set the screen size in my Nlite part of my cd making

All reschange does is change your resolution. But if like you said you don't use it then delete it, no harm will be caused.

i dont know why res changer is not changing the resolution if wpi is working after a fresh windows installation where the VGA driver is not yet installed

in the earlier versions it was working great but now and after testing on more than 5 PC's it's not changing the resolution !

it keeps saying that this resolution is not supported (but it can be done manually) !

is there any way to override this and force it to change the resolution automatically ?

-force is the switch you are looking for.

Ummm never mind i found it and changed the argument inside wpi.hta

from "-quiet" to "-quiet -force"

and it worked greatly

I started a thread about this earlier. No one had prosted any problems, but I have the same problem: says the resolution is not supported when it is. I was leery about the -force, but if you are careful I will build it in. Just don't blame me for anything.

I was going to mention you should build it in but I think it warrants a pop-up with a severe warning...
