thedead Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Hi,I have two computers running windows XP PRO behind a router. One laptop; one desktop. Now I setup my desktop using the VPN server included in windows. On my laptop I can connect to the VPN and access the local network/shared drives. The problem is when I connect to the VPN the internet stops working; however I can still access the file shares.I have enabled PPTP pass-through, forwarded ports 500,137,138,139,1723,1701,50,51.Does anyone have any ides why? Thanks!!Title edited -- Please, use [TAGS] in your topic's title.--Sonic
Woomera Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 i believe that this belongs to networking section but,can you give us your routing table information? (netstat -nr)
druiddk Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 He he! You need to remove the checkbox that specifies that you want to use the VPN as primary gateway
Sonic Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 druiddk is right. The option is in Advanced section of TCP/IP properties of the client vpn connection.
