Validation incomplete

Unable to perfrom Validation (0x80080299)

I don`t understand why it dos this? because it is a original xp home licence.

I had that same error a couple of times yesterday on an un-service packed XP Pro installation.

Took me a few attempts to get it through. Think it was because the machine was too old and slow to respond in time to the validation request.

There is another validation option available from the update site (can't remember where though), if you can find that, it does eventually go through.

do you use nlite?

or is this a full xp install?

if its full xp install this wont help.

oobe from nlite, and so on, activation stuff, is all needed for wga.

I don`t use nlite and i am not sure it is possilble with this strange 2 cd`s xp home from Toshiba so it is a full xp install. and i am not sure i want to no more about anvanced windows because i am in progress of moving away from windows.

You need to call Microsoft technical support. They'll help you validate your Windows (provided it IS a genuine copy, needless to say). This support is free, sometimes even genuine copies of Windows XP do not validate for various reasons, however, as I stated above, this is a problem you can get support on.
