May 19, 200620 yr Validation incompleteUnable to perfrom Validation (0x80080299)I don`t understand why it dos this? because it is a original xp home licence.
May 19, 200620 yr I had that same error a couple of times yesterday on an un-service packed XP Pro installation.Took me a few attempts to get it through. Think it was because the machine was too old and slow to respond in time to the validation request. There is another validation option available from the update site (can't remember where though), if you can find that, it does eventually go through.

May 20, 200620 yr You need to call Microsoft technical support. They'll help you validate your Windows (provided it IS a genuine copy, needless to say). This support is free, sometimes even genuine copies of Windows XP do not validate for various reasons, however, as I stated above, this is a problem you can get support on.Regards/Jacob
