If we are to help you we need to know whats wrong...

Do you have a firewall active? Are you in a workplace that might have a hardware firewall that blocks MSN's ports?

are you using the correct username (login) and password? Is your workstation (PC with this problem) managed or locked down to prevent this application from running ? Do you have an account for which to add the login information? Is it active? Can you login to hotmail from the same PC and not MSN Messenger? Throw a bone here, we need the info!!!

Maybe we have it all wrong. Maybe this post was just informative of someone's situation with XP Pro and MSN.
