wela
HiIs it possible to use this with hfslip?
Tomcat76
It should be, but it's a German version.
wela
HiIs there a way to proof the installation of the files from this .cab?I have made a new install, but i´m not sure if all is correct now.
Tomcat76
I think the simplest is to install the MDAC update intended for MDAC 2.8 SP1: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...15-51DC6D441365
wela
I´ve made a new CD with W2ksp4/IE6sp1/Dx9 and the hfsliped mdac.cab posted by sereby without the mdac hotfix for mdac253.It does not work. WU tried to install the missing Hotfix for mdac 253 and the experiment to install the Hotfix for Mdac 28sp1 failed.
Sereby
you have to add the lines from entries.ini into the files its a nlite hotfix! and there it works!
wela
@ serebyNormaly i don´t use nlite, there it works fine. Using hfslip was an experiment.
Tomcat76
It should've worked. There's nothing special about the ini file. Did you put it into HFAAO?
wela
I didn´t. I´ll give it a second and third look at weekend.Have a nice day.
wela
I´ve had time and i did it again, now using HFAAO folder. It´s a pity, but it doesn´t work. Hfslip worked fine, setup goes through, Login ok. Trying to install the mdac hotfix for 2.8sp1 manually. Setup quits with the message "that the version is not detectable. Installation is damaged or files are broken". Out off topic:Mdac_Typ.exe goes to HFSVCPack_Sw Folder? Right??
Super-Magician
No, MDAC_TYP.EXE goes in the HF folder.Maybe now it'll work .Tomcat: Seems we posted at nearly the same time . Edited April 21, 2006 by Super-Magician
Tomcat76
I fixed a problem with the handling of some addons yesterday. Try the latest version.MDAC_TYP.EXE goes in HF.
wela
Have had the third look to mdac.cab. Using hfslip_60421d, w2ksp4ger, ie6sp1,dx9 and hotfixe from Tomcat´s list without mdac hotfix 253. mdac.cab in hfaao. Wu shows nothing. manually installing mdac hotfix 28sp1 failed with "Version not detectable. installation damaged or files broken".Also build a installation cd with mdac_typ.exe in hf. Wu tried to install mdc hotfix 253. Manually install of mdac hotfix 281 failed with "Version not detected. installation damaged". have a nice weekend.
