I own a Toshiba laptop and it comes with a Recovery CD but no Windows XP CD. The Windows XP is pre-installed into the Recovery CD and the Recovery CD just makes a harddisk copy from CD to harddisk. What I would like to do is recreate the Windows XP CD using the I386, ValueAdd, etc. folders that comes from the Recovery CD (which is also on the harddisk. I have an old Windows XP CD and using the setup.exe file & boot image from that. I burned a CD using the OEM I386 from the hard disk. When I tried booting up from it it requests to insert "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" into drive A:\.

Does anyone know whether this means it's wanting manufacter drivers to continue installation, or it is wanting the Windows XP I386 folder but can't find it? How does one change this to make it look for the I386 folder in the CD-ROM path?
