hbinded
Hi, I have an old PC laying about, and want to use it as a firewall/router with some linux based firewall. There are countless guides but all of them claim to be the better solution. Now, as I have got to know MSFN, there is some really good knowledge being passed on here! keep it up And that's why I would like to have your opinions on which firewall ist better. p.s. There a quite a number of linux based firewalls, but I've come down to these three:smoothwallipcopOpenBSD

jago_lfn
Use Smoothwall... Its probably the easiest to setup and use! IPCop is easy to setup as well, it's based off smoothwall IPCop remains almost 100% based on SmoothWall despite a rewrite to replace code.(source, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SmoothWall). I prefer ipcop myself. Also dont overlook m0n0wall http://m0n0.ch/wall/
