Adobe PhotoShop CS2 Ver 9.0 Silent

Featured Replies

A question about this silent installtion method. I've done everything as noted, and installation works perfectly. However, I have noticed that only Adobe Photoshop and Adobe ImageReady are installed (there is no AdobeHelp, Adobe Bridge...). Does it have to work that way (or am I doing something wrong here).

Thanks.

i wouldn't mind adfobe bridge either, but that's it apart from PS and IR..

it'd poss work that way if you used the modded msi (thanks loads for that :P), and changed the main CS2 abcy.ini.. then ran it from the root setup.exe, with the ini told only to install PS and IR

sorry if that didnt make sense, but it does in my head :)

i'll go do it, and if it works, see how 'lite' i can get the installer, so that i can fit it on an nlite cd :)

Adobe CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\Adobe Bridge Services

the switch for adobe bridge is /qn

sorted.. much easier :)

i'll just add that as a cab, to install additionally to PS/IR

Thanks for this, not bothered about adobe bridge or help so this is perfect for me. Downloaded and unrared just fine.

Does this will work with Creative Suite 2?

I mean if do this to the Photoshop folder inside Creative Suite will it install silently?

^^ you could try copying %appdata%\adobe. it didn't work for me in vmware however might work on the computer. it was activated on

IDM = Internet Dowload Manager, also file could be downloaded with Opera browser (when it says error you just click "Resume Transfer")

abcpy.ini is the oldest metthod and sure shot to configure adobe products for silent install.

Not working. It shows activation data unuseable when i installed to another machine.

activation is computer specific - if you activate on x computer - reinstall xp + adobe copying activated %appdata%\adobe may work. it'll not work on another computer.

Theres also an transfer activation to another computer option in activation popup. you could try that

1:) First of all copy all the files from your installation Cd. After you have copied the files to a destination on your harddrive. Head into the directory "Adobe® Photoshop® CS2."

2:) Download the file that i have attached called "Adobe Photoshop CS2.rar." Decompress the "Adobe Photoshop CS2.msi" file and replace the original, with the one in the rar file.

3:) Edit the file "Abcpy.ini" in the same directory.

;***************************************************************
;Adobe Installer External Configuration File: Abcpy.ini

4:)Excute command

msiexec /i "[ path ]\Adobe Photoshop CS2.msi" /qn

Now this will kill the inistial activation screen upon install. It will not kill it on the first inistial start of Photoshop. You will still have too go through your activation process. This file, and how-to just allows you to install silently withought the overwelmingly naggy activation screen upon successfull install! :thumbup
