have been trying to install itunes cd onto laptop but just keep getting error number 0x80040707, help would be welcomed as kids are going mad

IPod, sorry to hear that. IPod requires ITunes, and ITunes requires QuickTime, otherwise it won't open. All that just to transfer your MP3s to your player, ridiculous. I'll stick to my 1GB MP3 player, removable storage detected by Windows, that's the way it should be.
