SovereignScorn
I'm running IE7B2, and today I upgraded my internet from a 4mb line to an 8mb line. When I use Newsbin to download from easynews I get the full 8mb (1.1MB), but when I download with IE I can only get about 300KB. Is there some kind of setting somewhere that is capping my connection through IE?
bledd
noprobably just the servers you're connecting to reaching their per user limit..try using firefox instaed of IE, much better program! (it doesn't replace it and is easy to uninsatll if you don't like it)
suryad
LOL funny how desperate Firefox users are to get people to download and use their browser. The man was asking a question if there was a problem with the IE 7 beta and a helpful post shows up "USE FIREFOX!" lol. I use FF myself occasionally but not on my own computer cause I honestly dont need it.
LLXX
All the versions of IE that I've used only downloads with one connection per download, if you use a download manager that supports multiple connections you can easily get higher speeds - even to the point of saturating your connection.
