First of all perhaps you want to point out what kind of media file you're actually trying to play, because Draugen is only talking about the MPEG Decoder (which is the only internal video decoder in MPC (besides the Real Video Decoder)). MPC almost only consists of splitters! FFDShow will do the rest, and here you can configure all the brightess stuff you prefer.The latest MPC release you will find hereTo configure the internal MPV Decoder in MPC: View > Options > Internal Filters: MPEG-1/2 Video
