alright so i thought it was my usb internal memory card reader that didnt work. but ive learned something amazing,

ALL MY USB DEVICES DONT WORK.

i tried putting a USB memeory stick thing with some important files on it in my front usb slot and that thing popped up by the clock, "safely remove hardware". and its still there. i imagine it will stya untill i pull out the stick, as it usually does.

but, like my memory card reader, it just..doesnt show up in My Computer. Windows Explorer just...doesnt see it.

whats going on man!?

i really really need this. can anyone help me out?

How is the multi-card reader connected? First you say your USB devices don´t work, later you say your USB-Mem. stick works? Can you be a bit clearer please ;).

reinstalling drivers?

no way. i mean, i tried it. using windows to automatically install the drivers.

my memory card reader came with a CD, but when i try t use it it smply says "usb device not found" or something like that.

besides, what would drivers have to do with the fact that NONE of my devices show up in My Computer? i guess it just seems like a weird coincidence.

i also tried using the Add Hardware wizard. i hate this thing. it ALWAYS says "device is working properly" even if it isnt. or the device jsut wont show up n the wizard. **** useless.

anyway...the wizard said it was working fine. i dont know man!

my mouse is a USB mouse. i know the devices are woring. theyre just..not showing up.

oh! and i tried putting my data stick in a back USB slot, one of the ones integrate dinto the motherboard.

nothing happened.

i had thought this would be a simple solvable problem. i mean...it seems like something that would have happened before.

but now im getting somewhat scared....

does anyone have any suggestions?

Reinstall windows and see if it works then, looks like some drivers are not working well, and I´m not talking about the drivers that come with the products, talking about "support" drivers of windows.
