jftuga Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Here is a recent discussion on packet sniffers and monitoring tools:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=70620-John
Gouki Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Monitoring exactly what on the Network? Ethereal is a very good, and powefull application. It will work as a sniffer and let you analyze traffic on your network.A good vunerability scanner is Nessus, for Unix based OS only, still I would recommended if a scanner is what you are looking for. There are some good links on the post jftuga posted ... Check them out, if you need any help just let us know.
nmX.Memnoch Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Check out products from GFI as well.http://www.gfi.com/They aren't free, but they're some of the best.
