I can't find the Audio drivers for this motherboard...I have lost the disc and the one on the Realtek site (I think it is a AC'97) keeps coming up with the BSoD

Any advice?

u didnt check the asus site? they have the drivers

the drivers are for a sound blaster card... so that means that u dont have realtek which is why u got the bsod

I installed this...Now what do i do?

Questions:

Did you intall it on a clean Windows?

What OS are you using any way?

What is the informacion you got from the blue screen?

Did you reset your BIOS settings?

Just give us what more information please so we can help you out better (If it´s not broken that is ).

3) It didn't have any information (just the standard)

check the device manager, is there anything with errors?

There is some text on that BSoD, it is always helpfull to tell us (that is if you still have the BSoD ).

I can't remember the technical info, but the main screen said something like this:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage

to your computer.If this is the first time you've seen this error screen,

restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow

these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.

If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer

for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware

or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart

your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then

select Safe Mode.

Edit: No drivers for an 'Audio Multimedia Controller'...

Then obviously the driver isn't installed correctly. Don't expect any audio until that's corrected.

Now it's recognised the Audio Multimedia Controller as Realtek AC'97 Audio, and everything seems in tick, but it still doesn't work...I'm going to check the connections at the back of my subwoofer...

EDIT: They're fine...The back of the PC is fine...

Audio Multimedia Controller is your sound card and installing the realtek driver should have worked.. it does for me

so your saying that there is nothing wrong in the device manager? do u have a pair of headphones just incase ur speakers are messed up ?

There was another driver that needed installing...

It was called 'Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA Audio Controller'...I have tried to install it, but it doesn't work...I'll try and install it off a disc I found...

thats strange b/c the 'Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA Audio Controller' is included in the realtek driver that i linked in my first post...

go into device manager, right click 'Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA Audio Controller' and click update driver, then click no not at this time, then advanced, then browse to the folder for the realtek driver and install it
