ripken204 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 how much money can u spend? and do u need agp or pci-e ?
CptMurphy Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Two major companies are nvidia and ati. They're the main gpu manufacturers. It really depends on the reseller.
gdogg Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) basically, for high end gaming. CS Source maxed as exampleyou'll want, a 7900 gt for the $300 range. like thisthis will give you 7800 gtx performance @ cheap.evga is the best warranty you can get now. lifetime (even more overclocking on it). basically bios changing, doesn't void there warranties, according to there wording.I personally have 2 7800 gt's, when using that kind of power, under fx 60, its still the processor holding you back.but if you have an old computer, your alway held back, I found similar fps, in an overclocked 754 w/ 9800 pro vs a 462 mobile 2500+ oc with x1800xl.
