[Help] xp on a sata harddrive

I have a ECS Nforce3-a motherboard, and i just got a new sata harddrive, when installing windows it copys the files fine but when it reboots to continite installing i get the error message, Error loading operating system.

How can i fix this? Is this a drivers issue? Wher can i get drivers that will WORK?

I have a Windows XO home, with no SP's in it. THJANK YOU, WHO EVER HELPS ME GET THIS WORKING GEtS 19.18$ via paypal!(why .19cents? becuase all i have left in my balance is 19.18 lol)

Determine what SATA chipset the MB is using, then download the drivers and put them on the root of a floppy. At the text mode portion of setup you'll be asked to hit "F6" for any additonal SCSI/RAID drivers. Insert diskette and away you go. Another way is to integrate them with nLite onto the CD.

Oh, i was thinking that there was a sata chipest that was different or something? Ha!

What drivers exactly would i use? Can someone post a link and name the files i need to copy to the floppy? the ones i have im not sure if they are for sata, even though the support said they were. Thanks for all the help.

Do you use any unattend setup of windows xp or regular windows xp disc ?

Drivers for nForce3, download it and open it, find txtsetup.oem in folders and copy the content of folder containing txtsetup.oem to floppy, during start setup press F6 to load drivers for SATA.

I use a Windows XP Home Upgrade disk, and even if its untrue to what seems like popular belief you have have to install a previes windows OS first to use a windows upgrade disk, you just need to put a 2000, me or 98 disk in to the computer when it asks you for it to proove owner ship.

I just went and looked and it turned out that is the drivers i installed before, but windows shows it up as raid and mass storage drivers.
