Problems With QuickTime Alternative

I just downloaded and installed QuickTime Alternative 1.68 and I've run into a problem. QuickTime "applets" embedded in web pages work perfectly, but I can't play regular QuickTime .mov files with WMP10. When I try to open a .mov file in WMP10, I get the error message:

Cannot allocate memory because no size has been set.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try to run the file in Media Player classic, (come with quick time alternative).

Is that the only way to get QuickTime Alternative to work? Has anyone gotten it to work with WMP10?

I have it working in wmp 10

I can get QuickTime files to play just fine in Media Player Classic, but as I mentioned above, WMP10 gives me a memory allocation error.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Just use MPC from now on and ditch WMP10.

Well, I don't like having multiple media players installed on my computer - I'd rather use WMP10 for everything. Does anyone know how to fix the memory allocation problem?

Then use XPLite to remove WMP10. Or disable WFP and delete the program files directory then clean out the registry. MPC combined with FFDShow is easier on the CPU, anyway.

I appreciate the help but I prefer WMP10 over MPC. Does anyone know how to fix the WMP10 memory allocation error?
