Cleartype on Windows 2000

I need to have cleartype on windows 2000. Now all i need is a list of the files that relate to cleartype and i can do the rest from there. Could someone provide me with this please?

Since ClearType involves subpixel font rendering, I'd say you'd pretty much have to port the entire graphics subsystem of Windows XP back to Windows 2000 to enable this.

most likely what you want to do will not work, Windows 2000 was not designed to work with cleartype. i don't think it will be possible to use it without a 3rd party app that can emulate cleartype for you

I know this is an old topic but sometimes I wish Tihiy found a way to revise his old Win2000 Revolutions Pack and add Cleartype support into it, just like he did with recent versions of the Revolutions Pack 9.x for Win98/ME. RP9 for W98/ME has support for Cleartype and it does work.

Otherwise, I don't see anybody else attempting to put cleartype into win2k.

And before that, didn't he describe a kludge of some kind to put ClearType into 98/ME using one of Microsoft's products? Couldn't that be repeated on 2000?

Edit: Yes, Microsoft Reader. As I recall, though, there's more to it than just putting that program on there, but the information got edited away.
