Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio

The patch is exclusively for integrated high definition audio, such as the Realtek Azalia codec. The traditional AC'97 codec does not need this patch to function.

Why did they call it "Universal" when it clearly isn't. So I've concluded that Microsoft first made UAA and included it in updates. They did version 1.0a which I think must be uninstalled first. Then they made version 1.6 which is the latest that I could find. (It didn't help). Realtek has included UAA in their high definition audio driver.

My problem is that the driver installs without error, and says it finished, restart. However, it isn't in device manager. The volume icon is not by the clock.

OK so then I tried to uninstall it. I get the common error: "Realtek HD Audio driver Remove Failure!"

So I'm asking for a good uninstaller. I have downloaded the audio pack from BtS' driver pack here:

What a genius he must be...
