This p***ed me off so I'm ranting and give a heads up to everyone.

Take a look at the pic and you see the arrow pointing to the link.

You hover over the Link and it shows http://70.29.248.103/us/cgi_bin/Account_Verification/

Whats wrong with this?????>>>>>>70.29.248.103 Thats not PayPals IP or Link

You trace the Ip and come back with some sorry SOB in Canada trying to rip people off.

NO I'm not that stupid so I investigate everything really carefully.

If something don't seem right then it's probably not. Its up to you to detect stuff like this.

Every link in this was same.

Pretty authentic looking email though.

Done reported it several days ago and they said they on his butt.

I'm only warning those about these things

there's a lot of PayPal horror stories which is why i never use it, except out of necessity at work. for the heck of it, i just now keyed in "paypalsucks" in my browser to see what i'd find. interesting reading:
