Woomera Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 my pc was not shut down normaly so when i turned it on it scans the disk for errors but the problem is that it wont go away,it scans the system everytime it starts.and there is nothing in my startup(msconfig).thankd.Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on.--Zxian

spacesurfer Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 What operating system are you using?If win xp, then do a thorough scan of the drives (with all options checked using scandisk) that are being scanned on startup from within windows. if the drive or partition is your os drive or partition, then let it do a thorough scan on startup.
